Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is an international tourist attraction and a powerful symbol of the North American continent. The falls are located on the border between Canada and USA, but most visitors view them from the Canadian side of the gorge. Niagara Falls has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The name Niagara comes from an Iroquois word meaning thundering water. Some people believe that this refers to both the thunderous roar of tumbling waterfalls in heavy rain as well as to frequent stormy weather at Niagara.

Vancouver’s Stanley Park
One of Vancouver’s most famous parks, Stanley Park is a large public park that stretches over 1,000 acres and includes beaches, wooded areas and ponds. The park also has many attractions including the Lumberman’s Arch at Prospect Point.
The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and his partner Calvert Vaux (designers of New York’s Central Park) to take advantage of its spectacular views over English Bay.
The most popular attraction in Stanley Park is the miniature train which circles through the forested trails. Other attractions include an aquarium, totem poles, wildlife exhibits and gardens.

Gros Morne National Park
Gros Morne National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The park features steep cliff walls, waterfalls and interesting rock formations carved by glacier-fed waters. Most visitors take boat tours to appreciate the scenery but there are also hiking trails and opportunities for kayaking. In winter the park receives far fewer visitors than it does during summer months when many people come to enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, skiing or snowmobiling.
The park is home to numerous species of animals that live on land or in the ocean including black bears, moose, seals, whales and seabirds.
